Team Barista took the initiative to visit the Galle, Pinnaduwa exchange to conduct a plastic cleanup campaign to eliminate plastic waste. This event was organized in conjunction with the launch of the Sugarcane lid, aiming to raise awareness about the campaign.
Remarkably, the Barista team successfully collected over 100kg of plastic and polythene throughout the project. To encourage public participation and discourage roadside pollution, special bins for plastic waste were strategically placed alongside the road. Given that Galle is one of the most renowned tourist destinations in Sri Lanka, this effort aimed to preserve its natural beauty and appeal.
It’s essential to remember that even our smallest actions can make a significant impact. By playing our part in safeguarding both people and the planet, we contribute to the crucial mission of saving Mother Earth.
